 The BMW E36 is the third generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars, and was produced from 1990 to 2000. The initial models were of the four-door sedan body style, followed by the coupe, convertible, wagon ("Touring") and hatchback ("Compact") body styles in later years. 

 The BMW E39 is the fourth generation of BMW 5 Series, which was sold from 1995 to 2004. It was launched in the sedan body style, with the Touring model introduced in 1996. The E39 was replaced by the E60 5 Series in 2003, however E39 Touring models remained in production until May 2004.   

 The BMW E46 is the fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1997 to 2006. The body styles of the range are:

• 4-door sedan / saloon
• 2-door convertible / Coupe
• 5-door wagon / Touring
• 3-door hatchback Compact)

 The fifth generation of the BMW 5 Series consists of the BMW E60 (sedan/long wheelbase sedan version) and BMW E61 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') executive cars. The E60/E61 was produced from 2003 to 2010 and is often collectively referred to as the E60. 

 The fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW E90 (sedan version), BMW E91 , BMW E92 (coupe cars) and BMW E93 (convertible). The E90/E91/E92/E93 was produced from 2004 to 2013 and is often collectively referred to as the E90 or E9x. 

 The first generation of the BMW 1 Series consists of the BMW E81 (3-door hatchback), BMW E82 (coupe), BMW E87 (5-door hatchback) and BMW E88 (convertible). The E81/E82/E87/E88 produced from 2004 to 2013 and is sometimes referred to as the E8x. 

  The BMW E53 is the first generation BMW X5 mid-size luxury crossover SUV. The vehicle was the first SUV ever produced by BMW. It was produced between 1999 and 2006[1] and was replaced by the E70 X5. 

 The BMW E34 is the third generation of the BMW 5 Series, which was produced from November 2, 1987 until 1996. Initially launched as a sedan in January 1988, the E34 also saw a "Touring" station wagon (estate) body style added in September 1992, a first for the 5 Series. 

The sixth generation of BMW 5 Series consists of the BMW F10 (sedan version), BMW F11 (wagon version, marketed as Touring) and BMW F07 (fastback version, marketed as Gran Turismo) executive cars and were produced by BMW from January 2010 (for the 2011 model year) to 2017, with F10 being launched on 20 March 2010 to domestic market and F11 in the summer of 2010
